The Dr. and Mrs. W. C. Culp Student Research Grant is designed to foster an interest in research by funding a summer research project conducted by a medical student in an area identified by SIR Foundation as important to the advancement of interventional radiology and patient care.
- Budget: Up to $6,000
- Grant length: During the summer (up to 4 months)
- Deadline: Jan. 15 by 5 p.m. ET
- Additional info: SIR membership is encouraged but not required
Eligibility
- Applicants should currently be enrolled in an MD, DO, PhD or equivalent degree program in medical institutions within the United States and Canada.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States or Canada, have permanent resident status therein or be a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA or Dreamers)
- When applying, it is required to upload proper documentation of the permanent status or DACA status.
- Applicants must designate a project advisor who will mentor the student for the duration of the research project.
How to apply
Applications are due on Jan. 15, 2025, by 5 p.m. ET. This deadline remains whether or not the date falls on a weekend or holiday. Applications that are not complete or do not comply with the guidelines will be considered ineligible.
